About the Book

Ms. Annapurna said the following words as she handed Suryakala Foundation her work: “I have copied all my compositions into this book. I leave this precious treasure of mine to you, as I feel you will appreciate and respect my effort and work on it. At my age and health condition I felt it wise to donate these lyrics of mine to “Suryakala Foundation for Performing Arts”, as they can use the compositions for discerning public benefit."

Suryakala Trust took up the extremely interesting task of publishing these lyrics (Sankeertanas) in a book format which can reach many and help them sing the songs of Ms. Annapurna written on various deities. The lyrics are in simple Telugu; lilting, rhythmic and involving. They are a perfect reflection of the writer’s sincere devotion.
